Living A Dream

Hey there!

For those of you new here, WELCOME!

For those of you I've known for a while, HELLO AGAIN!

I want to celebrate something with y'all today - 100 people have subscribed to my newsletters!!

That might not seem like a lot to the world on social media or digital marketing, but I'm a big fan of celebrating every win along the journey AND valuing quality over quantity.

I started Rhythm and Nutrition back in 2017 in Chicago with a dream to combine my passions of dance and nutrition. I didn't know how that dream would manifest, but I always knew my purpose was. It continues to be helping fellow performers and professionals sustain doing what they love to their highest ability!

I'm grateful to say that I've been living that dream ever since!

Just within the last 3 months, I've had the honor to speak with 14 professional artist-athletes at Movement Lifestyle Dance Studio, 46 student-athletes at Wayne State University and University of Michigan, 300 students at Mayfield High School, and 855 students at Immaculate Heart Middle School and High School.

Here are some AMAZING feedback that some participants shared:

"A few insights I gained from this presentation were how to better fuel my body, and how significant both rest and water are for the human body."
"There are no rules for nutrition only tools."
"Living in the midwest, it’s important to take Vitamin D supplements because of our lack of sunshine."
"I loved the specific meal and snack lists, makes it much easier to actually fuel myself better in a realistic and straight forward manner."

Hearing people's stories, exchanging life experiences, and discussing thoughtful questions is the best part of what I get to do!

Life will always have it's ups and downs, but when I pause to look around, I can truly say I'm grateful I get to live out my purpose, doing what I love!

I hope these newsletters not only give you new insights in nutrition or entrepreneurship, but it would inspire you to remember your dreams and encourage you to take the next step to turn them into your reality.

So...

What's your dream? What's something you've always wanted to accomplish but haven't gotten around to?

What's just one step you can take to get closer to living it out?

Sometimes, the next step is closer than we think. Sometime, it's just being willing to say it out loud and ask for help.

If you want to share, I'm here to listen. Simply hit reply.

Cheers,

Sherry

That's my wish for Christmas this year. 🎄 That you, Reader, and your family will have a JOY-filled Christmas, Holiday, and New Year. Joy is NOT the absence of pain, struggle, or loss. It it the conscious effort, willingness, and openness to choose to gratitude, love, and hope... In the midst of, the despite of, and even though. Gratitude of the now and not yet... Celebration for what we have and the hope for things unseen. To me, that's what Christmas is about. Merry Christmas and happy...

The Story behind the name Hey Friends, I realized many of you probably never heard THE STORY behind why I chose the name “Rhythm and Nutrition.” Here it is… In April 2016, I was burned out from performing in back-to-back dance shows and living an unbalanced lifestyle [For context: I was working a full-time job as a dietitian AND performing in over 40 shows per year with my dance company.] Yes, I was doing what I loved and everything looked good on the outside. But honestly, I felt weak,...
